On October 16-17th, we are partnering with Fremont’s Prairie Piecemaker Quilt Guild for Quilt Show/Covid Style.

St Matthew Lutheran Church will host a Mini Quilt Show and Sale from 9 to 5 both Friday and Saturday.  You will be asked to wear a mask and social distance.

Our address is 1725 South 60th Street, Omaha, NE.   Please enter by the main door on Walnut Street across from Belle Ryan Elementary School.

We will be featuring a display of 20 Wall-hangings made  of hand dyed fabrics by the ladies in MaMa Shoo’s Co-op located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro in Moshi, Tanzanian, East Africa.

We also have a two woman show of photos, quilts, and wall-hangings done by Tammy Ward and Mary Mayfield.

Many of these will be for sale as well with 50% of the purchase price going to the Tanzanian Women’s Scholarship fund.

Our shop will have a variety of fabrics from Tanzania, East Africa.  There will be fat quarters, 1 yard cuts, and some larger pieces in commercial, hand dyed, and wax resist batik.  These are made by Mama Shoo's Co-op, by individual artisans and some our students at the Angaza Women’s Training Center.

Our merchandise is purchased in Tanzania and brought back by me and my friends as we visit our partner parishes in the Mount Kilimanjaro area.  We will have patterns, kits, artwork, photos, cards, jewelry, clothing, purses, baskets, and more.
